Mary Woodworth: Founder of FOMO, Mission Director and UK Treasurer
Mary was born and grew up in Mulanje, Malawi. Fluent in both English and Chichewa. She is member of St Michaels and all Angels Much Hoole.
Mary continued her education after arriving in the UK and gained Pitmans, RSA and is a qualified NVQ assessor. Mary has been involved with children and young people all her adult life and worked at Preston College as an Business Administration Assessor and Trainer before dedicating her self full time to helping the children through FOMO
Keith Woodworth: Co-founder of FOMO, UK Secretary, Technical and Information Director
Keith worked as a volunteer Teacher in Botswana, moved to Malawi in 1979 and held the position of Mechanical Engineering Instructor at Lilongwe Technical School. He is now retired after may years at Goss International in various educational roles.
Mary and Keith (Trustees) were married in 1984 and have one son and now reside in the UK, but between fund raising, working and personal funds allowing they take extended trips to Malawi to assist in FOMO’s administration and development.
Gillian Coxhead: FOMO UK Chairman
Gillian is married to Chris, they have 4 sons – the family have supported FOMO since it was founded in 2000.The family visited Mulanje in 2006 spending 3 weeks with FOMO.
Gillian is a Staff Nurse working in Preston’s busy A&E department and also has experience of working in a children’s hospice. She has many years experience in lay parish ministry and now writes and offers leadership in Christian spirituality.
Gillian also works as a volunteer for L’Arche, an organisation which supports people with learning disabilities to live in communities of faith
Audrey Toft: Trustee and Minutes Secretary
Retired, but during my working life I have held a number of Secretarial and Accounting posts including working for an Accountant, a Building Society, and for 21 years was Office Manager in my husband’s Architectural practice.
She is also a Trustee & Secretary of PENCON (Penwortham Conservation Group) and Trustee & Treasurer of The Friends of Hurst Grange Park Coach House Restoration Project. I am also Treasurer of the Penwortham Group of National Women’s Register. (All in a voluntary capacity).
For over 4 years she volunteered for Age Concern Central Lancashire – selling Insurance and giving promotional presentations. Currently she fund raises and give presentations about the work of FOMO.
Emma Whitlock Trustee


Now retired, she is also a volunteer with Preston’s Harris Museum and Art Gallery, helping to deliver reminiscence sessions for local nursing and care homes.
